The Master liberates travelers from the dark night of self-worship and brings them into the brilliance of that clear daylight, which in this world is the paradise of the selfless witnessing of the Divine Truth."

Excerpt from "The Path", p.106
Come, the foundation of palace of desire is unstable
bring wine, be happy the base of life is unsustainable.
I am a devotee of the one with aspiration as such
who is free from whatever has color of attachment.

If you are yearning for us, leave behind the world’s enterprise.
If you desire us, be free from any gain or loss.
Let go of any other thought if you are searching to find us.
Let go of futile images, abandon all this and that.
At the tavern, everyone drunk, with the cupbearer passing cups of wine,
If you are a wine drinker, take a cup, otherwise go on your way.
If you’re looking for a pure life, come and become our companion.
If you want everlasting paradise, come to the lane of resolute lovers.
Come if you are a love-crazed one; we are the beloved of the confidants.
Don’t go if you are in love, let go of your heart and give up your soul.
Discover within our tears the one you are looking for.
Behold our eyes and take a journey over the shoreless sea.
If you are searching for a treasure, you will find it in ruins.
Come and find Nimatullah and pass through the city of Koobanan.

Master Dhu'l Nun
An intended disciple said to dhun nun: above everything in this world i wish to enrol in the path of truth. Dhu'l Nun told him: You can accompany our caravan only if you can first accept two things. One is that you will have to do things which you do not want to do. The other is that you will not be permitted to do things which you desire to do. It is -wanting- which stands between man and the path.
Dhu'l Nun, ninth century A. D.
Sama is what descends from God and arises in the heart of the seekers,
spiritually empassioning them and increasing their yearning for God. Whoever listens it selflessly, from God, will find the way to God; whoever listens with
self consciousness, with awareness of self, falls into duality and separation.
excerpt from "The Path" page 86
By Master Dr. Javad Nurbakhsh
Take one step beyond yourself, The whole path lasts no longer than one step. Beg alms from yourself - don't go wandering Outside yourself; the Way cannot be found. If it is love you're after, negate your self; Only the lover without self knows love.
